Giving Back…
Freedom’s Path and HBCU GO believe that freedom and education are not only synonymous, but that they are inextricably connected to each other.
Giving back to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) is an important way to support the educational freedom and development. HBCUs have a long history of providing high-quality education to students of color, these institutions have played a critical role in producing successful professionals and leaders in various fields. By giving back to HBCUs, companies, individuals, and audience members can help to ensure that these institutions have the resources they need to continue providing excellent education to students.
Beginning February 3, in commemoration of Black History Month — HBCU GO will launch HBCU GO Give 365, a community giving initiative intended to inspire and engage the Black community to lean in and provide much-needed funding to HBCU higher learning institutions. The platform will kick off its initiative by inviting students, alumni, faculty and other members of the HBCU community to attend screenings across the country, also donating a portion of ticket sales from Freedom Path‘s theatrical release directly to HBCUs that support the arts.
